Make sure to add knots to your Selection prep. You are going to want to be comfortable with the knots by the time you get to Selection.
These knots will help you prepare for events during Team Week during SFAS/ POAS/ CAAS. You will be better off if you show up knowing these knots and already having the muscle memory for them. You will also be able to help your team instead of just thinking you are going to slide by team week by carrying the heavy weight and not actually providing much else.
You can practice tying these knots with 550 cord or, even better, get some 1-inch nylon tubing to practice your knots or rope. Nylon tubing can be seen in the “Making the Cut” video of SFAS Team Week and is more likely to be used during team week than just 550 cord.
